At Patagonia Outdoor Clothing & Gear, we stand behind the quality of our products. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’ll make it right. Our refund policy is designed to ensure you have a positive shopping experience with us.

Eligibility for Refunds

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • The product is defective or damaged upon arrival
  • The product doesn’t match your order
  • You changed your mind within our return window
  • The product doesn’t perform as expected

Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return for a refund. Items must be in new, unused condition with all original tags and packaging.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact our customer service team at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
  2. Our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging when possible
  4. Ship the item back to our returns center using the provided address

Refund Process

  • Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll process your refund within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of our error or defective products
  • You’ll receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned for hygiene or safety reasons:

  • Undergarments and base layers (unless defective)
  • Face masks and buffs
  • Personal care items
  • Gift cards
  • Final sale items (clearly marked as such)

Exchanges

If you’d prefer an exchange rather than a refund:

  • Contact us at [email protected] with your order details
  • We’ll process an exchange for the same item in a different size or color
  • If the item isn’t available, we’ll offer a refund or alternative product

Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective or damaged item:

  • Contact us immediately at [email protected]
  • Include photos of the defect or damage
  • We’ll arrange for a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs
  • Defective items must be reported within 30 days of delivery

International Returns

For international orders:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Customs duties and taxes are non-refundable
  • Refunds will be processed in the original currency

Final Sale Items

Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Clearance” are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless defective. All sales are final on these items.

Store Credit

At our discretion, we may offer store credit instead of a cash refund for certain returns. Store credit never expires and can be used for future purchases.
